I fully admit that I found myself occasionally speaking with an english accent while we were in London. Not to anyone other than my family, but I really couldn’t resist injecting some jolly fun into my words while in Britain. There’s just something about it that draws you in…
Our second day in beautiful London started with a walk up to Portobello Road and the fun shops along there, then a slow Sunday stroll through the delightful streets of Notting Hill. I could not get enough of the gorgeous pastel beauties all around me, I felt like a total creeper snapping photos all over the place! I mean, seriously!! We had fun dreaming of living in one of the lovely homes, choosing our favourites on each block.
Later on we wandered back to Kensington, grabbed a delicious lunch at Otto E Mezzo on a friend’s excellent recommendation (thanks Laura!), and then spent a couple hours at Kensington Park. The kids played at the Princess Diana Memorial Playground, which was pretty impressive, and it was even hot enough to have an ice cream on the grass afterwards. We were definitely lucky with the weather! Oliver couldn’t get over the abundance of luxury cars — Ferraris, Maseratis, and Lamborghinis abound! He was in car heaven. My personal fave was the sweet little convertible we spied one afternoon ❤
We had tickets for the London Eye that evening, so after Derek popped into the Imperial War Museum (the kids and I hung out on the grass for a rest, which probably allowed Derek to have a less interrupted visit!) we headed back to the banks of the Thames and up we went. The views from the Eye were fantastic of course, and with the great weather we could see all of London at our feet.
We wrapped up the day with a stroll through town, past Westminster Abbey and Big Ben. I love how the silhouettes of the pointy rooftops look from across the river. Back up to Kensington we went, and off to bed for a rest after another jolly good London day.
Love the picture of Woodstock and Paddington!

We had fun snapping pics of them at all the sights! We did a little mini-series on my instagram 😉
